A Smooth and Versatile White Sauce Made with Altunsa Milk Powder
Ingredients:
2 cups Altunsa Milk Powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground white pepper (optional)
1 cup butter, margarine, or oil spread
Method:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk powder, flour, salt, and pepper.
Cut in the butter or margarine using a pastry blender until no large pieces remain.
To use: Combine 1/2 cup of this dry mix with 1 cup cool water in a saucepan.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thick and smooth.
Season as desired. Makes approx. 1 cup sauce.
